Dwadasa Jyotirlingas
Jyotirlinga is the Parabrahamatma lingam and pervades the entire universe and beyond the universe. The all-pervading light with luminous intensity is Jyotirlinga. The infinite pillar of light appeared during Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu's supremacy war symbolizing the infinite nature of Lord Shiva is Jyotirlinga.
There are 12 Jyotirlingas considered to be very auspicious and holy in the worship of Lord Shiva. These 12 Shivlingas consistently emit a greater quantum of cosmic energy and protect the earth and its children from evil energies.
